As you begin your work on this assessment, it might help you to do some background research on the marginalized identity/community you have chosen to analyze through the lens of Catholic Social Teaching.

How to Find a Research Starter:

1. Go to Discovery OneSearch.
2. Type in the identity you are researching (ex: LGBTQ+) into the search bar
3. Hit Enter.
4. Filter results by Source Type: Research Starter (you might have to select the "+X more" in blue to see Research Starter as an option under Source Type); check the box next to Research Starter and hit Apply.
5. Your search results will now be reference entries that are a good place to begin your research to improve your understanding of the marginalized identity/community on which you are writing in light of a CST framework.
